Beyond sickening

I say this with bitter anger as well as sadness because you know this shortened made up statement is also depressingly accurate:

"This tragedy may have been prevented if those kindergarteners had been armed"
- Only Slightly fictional Wayne LaPierre

Apparently another 30 people, including 18 children must die to in the service of the fetishization of what the Second Amendment actually says.

And -- as always -- we are told we cannot discuss the elephant in the room.

Free-fucking-dom!

My sis is a substitute teacher. I can't imagine her in a situation like this, and my heart is breaking for those families.

Sell as many guns as you want, but don't sell bullets. Easy.

Somebody needs to rip LaPierre's gun from his hands and shove it up his ass. Then pull the trigger.

Let's give these strict 'consitutionalists' exactly what the founding fathers were referring to; namely a muzzle loaded musket. Automatic and semi-automatic weapons with large magazines or clips wrre never envisioned by them I am sure. Technology has changed in over 200 years and so should our gun laws. Ban these kind of weapons now!

regulate bullet clips.

why violence in movies doesn't get x ratings is a question too.

Ban all military grade weaponry. Hunting arms are deadly too, but they don't look so cool that you think you are Rambo.

The shooter was obviously both well-regulated and part of a militia.

The tree of the Second Amendment must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of innocent women and children.

Chumps.

I wonder how many gun advocates would be willing to give up their semi or automatic weapon if it could bring back just one of these innocent babes. Sadly probably none. I'm guessing that they have to protect their priorities.

Bumper sticker ideas:

"Another senseless massacre brought to you by the corporate gun lobby"

"Well. Regulated. Militia. ---- great idea!"

What a great opportunity for bipartisanship... Please, President Obama, stand up and say something like this:

"I will be very open to suggestions from Republicans about how we can all work together to prevent this kind of tragedy. In fact, I would be very happy to see the GOP take a leading role and follow their lead, just as our party based our Obamacare on their Romneycare."

...and then we can all settle back with a big bag of popcorn and watch the wing nuts take center stage and have absolutely nothing to say.

Only in America.

...Everybody!

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
