Glass Half Whatever

Ordinarily I like to think of myself as a guy who wanders through life seeing the good in just about everything, a typical glass half-full guy. I know it doesn't always sound that way but for friends and members of my fan club I always have a positive word.

Since November I have tried to see things in a way that doesn't disrupt too much that cheery demeanor I carry around but I gotta tell ya, it is getting difficult. Why? The moron that inhabits the White House oversees a government of really evil people. And every once in a while, like a volcano that needs to blow-off just a little steam, I have to just let go.

We are so fucked. I know, America is a great nation, bigger than politics and its leaders and all that, but there are some bad people running the ship to ground. God help the poor SOB that inherits this economy, this environment, this banking system, this war apparatus, this messed up foreign policy (or lack thereof), Terry Schiavo, the results of domestic policy including the Patriot Act, this goverment's policy on world poverty, hunger, and women's rights, and judges, we can't forget judges.

So even for a glass-half-full guy, it seems too scary to consider. But there is always tomorrow when I hope I'll feel better.
