Richard Cohen: International Troll of Concern

Is there anything more painful than this self-proclaimed comedy genius attempting to engage in comedy?

Every sentence is the dentistry scene in Marathon Man.

Ye Gods! I can't believe anybody would be paid for writing such a steaming pile.

I'm in the wrong line of work.

Whhatta fucking puke bucket that guy is.

Oh, but he wears glasses and has a beard. That makes him avuncular.

Or irrelevant.

This guy better never get huffy and leave his day job, because he's gonna starve....

The sad thing is that this sort of lame, constricted vomit is what the Beltway types officially consider a kneeslapper. Humor resides in truth, however it may be distorted -- but these clowns are allergic to truth, which is why they reacted like holy-water-stricken vampires to the genuinely hysterically funny appearance of Stephen Colbert at the WHPC dinner a few years ago. (Of course, their displeasure with him may have been due to the fact that they were the subjects of his material.)

Poopy?

Why do you consistently write "gnews" in that manner?
I'm betting heavy that it's actually a very clever play on the word.
