Oh yeah, they're all really bright

Beep beep blurb rat-at-tat-tat goes the 9-pin dot matrix of talking points and spits out...

Except y'know they did, eh.

Oh, and also if we are going to discuss Canada's lower unemployment, I guess we can point out that unlike American employers they do not have to factor in health insurance costs in hiring decisions.

So when does that happen...eh?

Lots of info here on stimulus spending in Canada. I'm amazed at how these people can lie and lie with impunity

what about their tax rate?

Canadian unemployment is lower because, unlike the Randian-addled Repukes, they never led their bankers go on a decade-long hog-wild spree and wreck the economy at the taxpayers' expense, while party-hack regulators deliberately looked the other way,

There was some banking speculation in Canada, but was extremely limited by Canadian banking laws. For example, here in the U.S., a number of investment banks, led by JP Morgan, convinced the SEC to allow them to increase their debt leverage ratios to as high as 1:40, because they claimed that was safe because their investments were of such high quality. (Of course, now, that sort of statement generates hearty guffaws.)

In Canada, that simply can't happen, because their laws require, IIRC, no more than 1:9. Even in the most stringent times, the U.S. allows 1:12. So, there just weren't the sort of massive banking collapses there as there were here.

Not to say Canada wasn't affected by the U.S.-provoked economic downturn, just not nearly as much as we were and their stimulus efforts more or less met the demands of their economy, whereas ours were puny by comparison and ill-structured.

Oh be nice! Michelle is just trying to make a point to her bat shit crazy followers. Don't confuse everybody with facts.

Bush & Cheney made facts distasteful, something just to be ignored. And that R who said he was "born that way" was just ignoring facts, and she is naturalborn follower of all that is repugnant in republican
