They won't stop

Until it is illegal to have sex, period.

A fringe anti-abortion group, Personhood USA, has been startlingly successful at pushing forward legislation across the country that would redefine life as beginning at the moment of fertilization, effectively outlawing contraceptives like birth control pills.

...and I'm sure they are great advocates of privacy rights too.

They do not actually object to having sex as such. they just do not want you to enjoy it. Unsatisfying sex for purely reproductive purposes is just fine, even mandatory (got to keep all those lady folk barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen somehow).

Will it be manditory to collect the fertilized eggs that don't make it into the womb? I'm not an expert but according to a very old NOVA program , ever pregnancy results in 'Natures God' aborting 6-16 (in their terms) babies.

Don't know about your point, MD, but I'm pretty sure every miscarriage would have to be investigated as possible homicide or at least manslaughter...how's that for 'limited government?'

There is also the minor point that somewhat over half of all pregnancies spontaneously abort (miscarry). As Michael suggests, this is going to keep the uterus police very busy.

do they understand HOW EXPENSIVE BABIES ARE?

More importantly, is there any evidence that they even care?

It's a right wing jobs program. Just think how many people they will have to hire to investigate your use of your naughty bits.

I think they should take it to the next level - conception begins at erection! Any male who gets an erection at any time must face the penalty if he fails to inseminate the nearest female. /Wingnut
