But for me, other than calling my own mother, Mother's Day will always be known as the one of those days I couldn't go to Brunch and avoid a line early, even if I wanted to beat the Jesus-worshiping crowd.

In the traditional nuclear family, I believe the term "motherfucker" is more apt for Father's Day.
That gal has the gall to say what most feel is making any occasion a major holiday blowout. Good for card sales, restaurants, phone co. flower biz....but supporting them is better than more war and mayhem by the mil-ind complex. vox
