Oh dear dear dear

The President referred to the Teabaggers by the name they chose first, y'know Teabagger -- until they found out what it meant -- and we all started laughing at them even louder because it was too late.

Good times.

In any case K-Lo and Teabaggers are now all upset with Obama. Or should I say in Teabaggerese, "upsetterer"?

I just hope this doesn't make them reconsider the fact that they weren't ever going to vote for him anyhow.

Ah, well, if they don't like "teabagger," because of its, y'know, icky subcultural connotations, of which they were never aware when they called themselves teabaggers in the first place, maybe we could just settle on a descriptive nickname that is more accurate.

Say, "assholes."

that mean old poopyhead called me by a name I chose, I will never vote for the Democrat Party ever again!

Credit where credit is due. He coulda said "Bite my ass, you fat stupid ugly fucking fuck" and been completely justified. But who cares? I'm from well to O'B's left and I think he and RayGun are the two worst presidents of my lifetime, with Bush II a close third. I won't respond to the EmEssEm bait that tells that somehow this president is "liberal" and 'socialist' and that therefore when he's attacked, i should reflexively rise to his defense. For WTF? Thanks for TARP? For FISA? Gitmo? DADT? The motherfucking wars? His HCR "effort?" Are you fucking kidding me?

He's a POS; she's a fat stupid POS. So what?

The fucking fucktard who previously occupied (i.e. "stained") the White House never ceased referring to the opposition as "The Democrat Party" for 8 years.

Not to mention the Texbonics of "nookyular".

With the George Reker story seeping into the MSM I think it's time to inject Teabuggery into the lexicon.

Ahhh, yesssss...

Warms the cockles of ones heart to hear that losers like JDM are very displeased with the way things are going politically. And that level of displeasure, even with Obama as the most leftist President since Jimmy Carter?
....warms the heart, I tell ya......

DrDick said...

Jumpin' Jeebus on a pogo stick. Oily Ass (close friend of Reker are you?) has been huffing Drano again. Obama the most leftist president since Carter??? This is bizarre even by his standards. I don't think he even knows the meaning of the word (of course I suppose anything to the left of Dr. Mengele looks "socialist" to him).

Olives and Arrows said...

Bizarre, huh? OK, let's have it.

What President since Carter is more leftist than Obama.
hehehe... This oughta be good. The pretend doc has obviously been into the pretty colored pills.....

Olives and Arrows said...

(pretend) Doc,
Ohh, and while your at it, perhaps a prediction?

How long before Obama revises his promise of the revised promise for closing the Guantanamo Bay facility?

Too fucking funny! Leftists losers always lose. Who da thunk?

(sigh) I had a brilliant and insightful comment typed in here, but I forgot to hit publish twice, so you'll have to read the drivel I come up with below.

I for one agree that Obama is the leftiest president we've had since Carter. Stopped clocks, and all that. Anyway, it doesn't mean squat, since being the mostest leftistish president is like being the fattest supermodel. "Oh dear, the poor thing's a size 6!"

And "leftist losers always lose"? Yeah, leftists opposed the unfettered greed of the big financial corporations, and they've crashed the world economic system. Leftists opposed the avarice of the big oil companies, and their actions have resulted in a disaster of epic proportions in the Gulf. Leftists opposed the unconstrained use of coal and oil to fuel our societies, and the earth's climate has been irreparably impacted. Savor your victory, righties.

Olives and Arrows said...

As Woody has said, of course there are going to be some losses (for leftists) that leftists can sell as negatives (for everyone). But in the overall sense leftists always lose, and they lose bigtime.
Capitalism and free markets are good for everybody -- all boats float higher and all of that -- but any true leftist worth their weight in deodorant opposes capitalist free market and in that sense have and will continue to lose.
Same goes for the growing numbers of people gaining their freedom (since the mid 20th century) and the prosperity that always follows. That's why any true leftist worth their weight in soap opposes freedom, such freedom as recently gained by Iraqi people and is well on the way for Afghans.
Obama just isn't far enough left for these extreme leftists, as Woody has so eloquently outlined above. Woody is simply a smarter leftist than Dr Dickie, since he at least acknowledges the original statement that Obama is the most leftist President since Jimmy Carter.....Just not left enough for Woody and his ilk.

OnA has a heart?

OnA, your arguments and rhetoric just don't hang together. Claiming to be an avowed 'centrist' you take all color of hyperbolic, scathing, FoxNews scripted positions against 'leftists' or 'progressives' while giving the 'right' a complete pass. How 'centrist' is that? Answer: not at all. Your biases are embedded in your dim thinking. To wit, if Obama is a leftist, that would make him a loser.

(sits back to watch the circular logic loop engage in OnA's reply).

Nope, you're really just a hack. Borrowing canned pablum from talking heads to wrap around the ossified bundle behind your eyes that passes as a brain.

Olives and Arrows said...

Hedley?

Dr. Bob is letting you blog again? Boy, I sure hope it doesn't lead to yet another bout of increased medication for you.

Obama isn't necessarily a loser just because he's left of center. That's just plain silly and it's ridiculous for you to assume that I think all leftists are losers. Geez....the US would be in pretty sad shape if that were anything even close to being the case. And I rather like Obama and think that so far he's been doing a fine job, aside from a coupla hiccups.

Extreme leftists (like many of the the regulars posting here), are however, definite losers.

Mr. Hedley Bowes said...

Circular logic loop engaged.

Backpeddle harder, OnA.

Olives and Arrows said...

....not sure what you mean by "backpeddle" in this context, Hedley?
I've voted Democratic several times (for Bill Clinton both times) and have stated that here on these pages many times before.

You, on the other hand have probably never voted for a singular Republican at any level and will never do so, no matter what. That makes you an extremist of sorts, differing greatly from political moderation or centrism.
Clearly, I can lay legitimate claim to centrism whereas you cannot.

Wow. Poor Hedley defeated already! And so soon after his resumption of blogging. Boy, I sure hope he doesn't stoop to wishing for an illness leading to my death again!

.

Mr. Hedley Bowes said...

"Obama isn't necessarily a loser just because he's left of center." Backpeddling.

You may have voted for Clinton twice but that doesn't stop you from ridiculing the man or his record using the same script as Beck, Rushbo, or any other right wing hacks. Backpeddling.

With respect to whom I've voted for or admire politically, your assumptions start with three very descriptive letters.

Your characterizations are projections, as Montag describes in another thread. Straw men of your own creation thrown out by you for you to argue against, thereby proving your own point to yourself to the exclusion of others statements or reason.

Your life on the borderline, I guess.

Mr. Hedley Bowes said...

OnA, I did once wish that you might be rendered incapable of posting your drivel (by sickness or accident or even expiration). I regret that. You're already sick, and that's why you're such a confused, compulsive and offensive troll.

I hope you get help so you can get well. The self medicating thing won't end well.

Major Woody said...

Let's keep this thread going!

Clearly, I can lay legitimate claim to centrism whereas you cannot.

No argument from me. In the context of American politics, you surely fit in the center-right. Which puts you about 10 parsecs to the left of most of us here, and few of us would claim otherwise.

As far as Obama being "a leftist" or even "left of center", I think we're talking apples and oranges here. Political discourse in this country is so far to the right that, using that metric, sure, he's well on the left side of the spectrum. But a true "leftist"? No. As far as I'm concerned, in a broader context, he's a slightly-left-of-center corporate Democrat.

Therein lies the problem. As you have pointed out, OnA, he's not really much different from Bush. Bush 1 that is, nobody could be like George Jr. Anyway, people wonder why Democrats "can't get anything done" when they're in power. They certainly can; just look at all the wonderful pro-corporate policies Clinton was able to put in place. It's just that regardless of the rhetoric, and which shiny baubles each party waves before the electorate (Tax Cuts! Health Care!), the overall corporatist policies of the Democrats and Republicans don't differ very much, and so neither do the outcomes.

Olives and Arrows said...

A fairly accurate and coherent comment here by Woody, and I should say quite damaging for Hedley as per his comments up thread. Woody, you might be a little worried that Hedley will wish bad things to befall you.

In your first paragraphh I think that you intended to write that I was 10 paersecs to the right of the regulars posting here rather than what you wrote as 10 to the left?

Most people I know consider me to be slightly left of center. Aside from my voting record they cite that I'm pro-choice abortion, in favor of the basic social safety net, in favor of same sex marriage legislation and in favor of universal health care.

Political discourse in this country is so far to the right that, using that metric, sure, he's well on the left side of the spectrum.

I remember reading a poll that stated twice as many Americans consider themselves as "conservative" as do those considering themselves "liberal". IMO, It's unfortunate that the term liberal has become pejorative in some circles......

Anonymous said...

"IMO, It's unfortunate that the term liberal has become pejorative in some circles."

Yea, assholes like you parading around calling yourselves 'liberal' give us a bad rep.

Anonymous said...

"Most people I know consider me to be slightly left of center."

On what scale? If your pals consider wingnuts like J Edgar Hoover, Roy Cohn and Joe McCarthy 'center', yea, sure.

Slightly off center might be a better usage.

Very well then, Mr. Left of Center:
