Rising Hegemon
So UEFA (The European Football Association) running the European
Championships in its infinite wisdom said, "Hey Poland is playing Russia
in Warsaw today, how about we just for shits and giggles assign a
German refereeing crew? Wouldn't that be hilarious?"
If one of the Germans was a descendant of the Habsburgs that would have made it extra awesome.
