ba-dum-bah!
And when you read the article the "funny" joke becomes the outrageous one:
Prominent members of conservative, Washington-based defense think tanks were given permanent office space at his headquarters and access to military aircraft to tour the battlefield. They provided advice to field commanders that sometimes conflicted with orders the commanders were getting from their immediate bosses.John Bolton undoubtedly was invaluable when it came to how to live the swinger's lifestyle.

Shades of Judy Miller barking out commands to the team charged with finding the non-existent WMDs in Iraq.
But, it doesn't surprise me that the neocon chickenhawks have lots of ideas about conducting the battlefield.
In their own minds, they're generals, too, in the 101st Keyboard Brigade. What doesn't surprise me is that Petraeus would let them play war in exchange for glowing write-ups at home. He's easily the most political of generals in a long time. At least since MacArthur.
It's a good thing he fucked up, or we might have had to live with him as President one day. Great for the neocons, disastrous for us.
Uhhh...which "Washington-based defense think tanks"?
Color me suspicious.
