The "cutting edge" of social progress

It is 2013, and Missippi Mississippi finally got around to banning slavery.


And amazingly no one voted "nay" on the proposal.

Well, now that they've got the schoolyard-to-prison pipeline operating efficiently, they decided they don't need the slavery stuff any more. From now on, it's all up to the private prisons leasing out prison labor to the neo-plantation owners....

They voted to ratify in 1995 but "somehow" never submitted the paperwork to the Feds to make it official. Maybe their dog ate it.
