Kagans by Proxy

Ah, the Netanyahu family, keepin' it classy with a "K" take it away Brother-in-Law:

It's not that Obama doesn't like Bibi. He doesn't like the nation of Israel...

When there is an anti-Semitic president in the United States, it is a test for us and we have to say: We will not concede. We are a nation dating back 4,000 years, and you in a year or two will be long forgotten. Who will remember you? But Jerusalem will dwell on forever.

Imagine him on with Glenn Beck where the latter makes him wear that shitty Christmas Sweater.

The Netanyahoos are the voice of Israel. Can you hear them now?

Bibi is as Israel as one can get.
Other than going to grammar school in Philadelphia to high school with Reggie Jackson at Cheltenham High, college and grad school in Boston and then working and doing some John Bolton-like consulting for some New England-based company...he's spent almost the entire rest of his life in Israel.

Ah, well, history is a funny thing... Israel has been a nation for, actually, about sixty-two years. Between 1948 and four thousand years ago, there's been a whole lot of real estate deals of one kind or another in that part of the world.

By that sort of logic, the citizens of Rome could claim prior ownership, too.

Behind all this are some real worries for the Israeli government. If the United States finally decided that Israel was being more of a hindrance than a help, and decided to just, y'know, cut `em off, the results would be instantly felt. Israel's GDP is about $100 billion per year, and they spend 10% of that on the IDF. 30% of that defense money comes from the US in gifts and grants and economic development funds, the latter Israel uses to fund new defense technology companies.

With one in four jobs in Israel dependent upon the IDF, arms production and arms sales, their economy, were the US to grow impatient and cut them off, instantly goes backward and they're back to the inflation of 70-80% per annum that they had in the early `70s when they couldn't pay for the costs of the occupation. (Hint: they still can't pay for it without our help.)

The right-wingers in the Israeli government have been pushing the envelope for a lot of years, and they don't know how to do anything else, and they won't stop now--they're like junkies when it comes to US aid--but, they don't want the US public to know.

It's a racist thing. Bibi doesn't like blacks, esp. presidents of the US who are black. It's endemic in Israel. We just never hear it. vox
see if google lets this one thru
