Rising Hegemon
According to the various news networks Nancy Pelosi has done what effective Speakers do, and obtained the votes to pass the version of health, nay, insurance, nay some form of reform through the House today (we'll find out if this is really the case later). If so, I guess this becomes a great day for Patriotism, or Centrism, or Capitalism, or Facism, or Socialism, or Marxism, or perhaps just Jism -- it's so hard to follow when you have Glenn Beck out there and are also a writer for FDL.
In any case, I'm sure that now nothing bad will ever happen to anyone again for all time.
Whew.
(Of course, now is the time that meteorite, aliens, and/or reinvented Mayan mythology will finally strike the Earth, like Hollywood tells me is supposed to happen when there's a black President. Dammit!!!)
In the meantime, as the GOP screams about RAMMING things, it falls upon me, to mark this occasion with the greatest sports video ever produced by the human race (but not as good as anything produced by voles).
