Send Xanax, Scotch, & Batteries for my Electric Friend

I simply am congenitally unable to let this Peggy Noonan quote screech to pass by unnoted.

After calling the installation of Der Torquemadameister as "Das Pope" John Paul II's "first miracle" (Please note the late Pope is the the third of her triuvirate of diddled fantasy objects, four if you count Flipper), Peggy Noonan had one more quote that stuck out:

It is an age of miracles and wonders, of sightings of Mary and warnings, of prophecy, graces and gifts.

You know, I hate to go all "Golden Palace" on Peggy's saggin' ass, but I can think on only two recent claimed sightings of the Virgin Mary...

Here:

And, of course, "The Holy Bearded Clam of the Kennedy Expressway" (not to be confused with the "Huge Prick of the Rayburn Building")

Truly, two experiences that lead to greater mockery...I mean deeper faith.

Fortunately for Peggy and David Brooks, there is no stupid tax because they certainly would be bankrupt by now.
