Say did you know the Pope died?

Meanwhile, while we have heard plenty from broadcast news about the late Pontiff's social conservatism on things like abortion and stem cell research, we have heard little of his economic liberalism, his opposition to capital punishment, and certainly not much at all about his strong and consistent opposition to the Bush Administration's Iraq War.

Ironic perhaps, but of little surprise, is the fact that you have to look long and hard to discover that Abu Ghraib Prision was actually attacked by dozens of insurgents this last weekend and that many died and 44 Americans were wounded in a War strongly opposed by the Pope and now barely mentioned by our beloved corporate press.
