Just wondering

Is the "blood libel" right next to the "death panel"?

And while I'm at it, will Newt Gingrich...who literally called not yet Justice Sotomayor a "racist" while on a visit to fucking AUSCHWITZ take the time to support her proclamation?

Just need to know how much the ol' glass house of their egos need polishing.

There's no doubt whatsoever that Sonia Sotomayor is a racist and a sexist, as she has previously proven.

...a word of warning: { have a pail close by if you decide to read her statement below }

"I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

Just when you thought Sarah Palin couldn't sink any lower, she manages to smash through yet another floor. The "blood libel" comment she invoked is a couple of orders of magnitudes worse than "death panel."

1. It's an anti-Semitic slur, based on the old belief that Jews drank children's blood.

2. Rep. Giffords is Jewish. On that count alone, Palin had no business using that term.

3. Palin downplays it now, but she's rather deeply connected with Pentacostal fundamentalists.

In other words, this isn't some ignorant remark she uttered just to piss off liberals. It's a dog-whistle to her Dominionist buddies.

O&A, proving once again that your comprehension skills are non-existent.

I'm sure you bring a different set of experiences to the table than Ms. Sotomayer, but I'm not sure we could learn anything from them... where as, there's a lot to be learned from the experiences of someone who doesn't share your gender / racial background.

you might want to take off your own racist / sexist hat before opening your piehole.

Actually, "Death Panel" is by definition Palin's blood libel - a class smear inciting violence against members of that class.

O & A is actually pretending to give a shit about racism and sexism?

What a fucking joke.

In OnA's fevered brain, we're the racists. His proof? All the people of color vote for Democrats. Yeah ... I don't get it either. He has his own fetid, carefully constructed reality and won't be dissuaded from it.

O&A is a right-wing chickenhawk and an all-around jack-off who's determined to change the subject whenever one of his political idols is found to have size 21 feet of clay.

Whenever someone on the far right has been properly criticized for some inevitable failing or some incredibly stupid and venal remark, O&A can be counted upon to leap to their defense by introducing a non sequitur, creating a false equivalency, shifting the blame, or engaging in some manner of sophistry or outright falsehood.

Wingnutz are perfect and beyond reproach, right, True Believer?

You're the perfect useful idiot.

Alright, somebody on the Left has to do it. Here goes...

Sarah Palin has made a bargain with Satan, and drinks the blood of Christian babies to maintain her youthful looks."

Doesn't sound quite right. Needs some work. Actually, needs a lot of very expensive work.

Of course you don't get it, Dan. It's because you have major issues with basic reading comprehension and you're stuck on stupid. ...Mostly, stupid.

"All people of color" don't vote for Democrats. What I said was that when McCain garnered 275% less of the black voters than George Bush did, it was clearly a case of collective racism. George Bush is decidedly to the right of McCain but blacks still shifted towards Barack Obama in unprecedented numbers. Hence collective racism.

George Bush 11% of the black vote.
John McCain 4 % of the black vote.

couldn't possibly been because McCain & Palin were stoking racist fears, now could it OnA...

And McCain's got an absolutely horrible record as does the rest of the GOP on racial issues, that might have a bit of an impact on how blacks and hispanics vote, doncha think?

Mr. Hedley Bowes said...

11% - 4% = A hurricane named Katrina to the power of an insensitive and opportunistic GOP.

It wasn't white folks that got blown away on that bridge to Mississippi, and the difference between white 'scavenging' for food versus black 'looting' was well noted.

But ya know, we've been down this path before with OnA.
