In Iraq, a reality show puts fake bombs in celebrities' cars, then tricks them into believing they're going to prison for terrorism once they're "discovered" at security checkpoints.
The show, "Put Him in Camp Bucca," has been on the air since the start of Ramadan, according to the New York Times' At War blog, and has since generated lots of criticism from Iraqi newspapers, mainly because it hits so close to home and is also a horrible idea.
Still, sounds better than Leno.

I'd like to see them do that to the guy who hosts Fear Factor.
I love that last clause quoted: "...mainly because it hits so close to home and is also a horrible idea."
I shall now eat a cupcake, mainly because it makes my mouth water and is also a delicious treat.
who, in a war-torn, "everyone might be a terrorist" country, wouldn't love a reality show where some asshole is setting you up to be the next poor sonofabitch to be hauled off to prison for some "re-education training" for being a terrorist??? Sounds like a barrel of laughs to go with your PTSD.
They should punk the dumb-asses that decided to go forward with that show with another show featuring kidnap plots and firing squads and see how f'n funny they think that is.
what did rome give their occupied lands?
Rome was immeasurably more democratic than we've been Nations under their thumb at least sent representatives to the Senate. Of course they did while behaving like the Romans in Rome.

i guess we leave them depleted uranium.
i guess we leave them depleted uranium.
What kind of monsters would think this was a fun show to make/watch?
It shows how extended war can destroy the humanity within a population, and open the door to barbarity. And America is not immune; now we apparently regard torture as acceptable.
It's only funny 'cause it's true.
I'm just surprised it's not on Fox already.
